Better description of the customer
Maven Wireless is pleased to announce the signing of a framework agreement with a global train manufacturer and its UK-based train manufacturing facility to supply radio coverage equipment and related software for trains. The agreement, valued at approximately SEK 200 million, covers planned deliveries for HS2 (High Speed 2) train projects in the UK. The initial contract term is set for 10 years.
“I am delighted to see Maven Wireless further strengthen its position within the train industry, particularly with direct engagements with train manufacturers. By being included as a preferred supplier for trains from the factory floor, we are strategically positioned to drive continued growth in this sector,” said Fredrik Ekström, CEO of Maven Wireless. “We are excited to introduce our next-generation train repeater, the TOR G2, to the customer, which uniquely supports six different frequency bands—setting us apart in the market.”
Maven Wireless´ advanced train repeaters will be integrated into trains to be delivered as part of the UK’s ambitious HS2 project. HS2 aims to revolutionize rail travel by connecting key cities with fast, efficient services, starting with the London to Birmingham phase in 2027. Phase 2 will extend the network to Manchester and Leeds.
This agreement marks a significant step forward in Maven Wireless´s strategic expansion into the high-speed rail sector, reinforcing our commitment to delivering innovative solutions that enhance communication infrastructure for the next generation of trains.
